Setting the Standards

We’ve embraced the standards set forth by the voting community, leaving behind the old legacy software technology used by our competitors and instead have become the first to develop a hardened Linux and Java based platform for our voting products. To further our commitment to transparency, our source code is available for review as part of an official procurement or evaluation process by a voting jurisdiction. Unisyn’s product suite incorporates advanced encryption and ballot protection features to address the most crucial issues head on.

Prior to receiving certification, Unisyn went through an extensive testing and review process that included the completion of an application, employment of an EAC-accredited laboratory for system testing, and technical analysis of the laboratory test report by the EAC. Unisyn used Wyle to test both hardware and software systems as required by the EAC. We are releasing the report and results from Wyle Labs publicly as part of our transparent review process.

OpenElect

Freedom Vote Tablet (FVT)

The OpenElect FreedomVote Tablet provides voters with a state of the art voting device that is fully HAVA compliant. It can accommodate Election Day and early voting sessions supporting large jurisdictions as well as small precincts.

Optional: HAVA compliant components such as a sip and puff, zoom-in ballot and multi-lingual audio functionality
Allows voters to prepare ballots independently and privately
Allows voters to correct mistakes (second chance voting)

OpenElect

Voting Central Scan (OVCS)

The OpenElect Voting Central Scan (OVCS) resides at election headquarters. It is a scanner designated to read absentee and provisional ballots, and to perform recounts. The OVCS also captures write-in data images and produces a write-in image report for manual processing upon request.

Voting Central Scan (miniOVCS)

The OpenElect Voting Central Scan miniOVCS is a ballot scanning system that is fast, accurate and reliable. It has a smaller footprint than the familiar OVCS system, but delivers the same powerful functionality and high level of security, at a lower price.

Captures clean, easy to read ballot and write-in images in both color and black & white
